CLAMSHELL SPECIFICATIONS

1. Coupling assembly 14J34 is the exactly the same as 14J02 except 14J34 includes a nylon safety strap.

2. Consult the factory for pressure ratings for particular applications. Temperature rating -65˚F to +450˚F. Nylon safety strap will withstand maximum temperature rating of 400˚F.

3. Coupling flanges and O-Ring seals are not furnished with coupling assemblies. O-Ring seal materials should be selected for fluid compatibility. Be sure to specify EPR for nitro-methane or alcohol.

4. MATERIALS AND FINISH FOR 14C02-(SIZE) A AND 14C34-(SIZE) A ARE AS FOLLOWS: Clamshell assembly is 2024-T6 or equivalent aluminum anodized and dyed magenta. Latch pawls,hinges, rivets, latch springs are 300 series stainless steel passivated. Bonding springs are beryllium copper wire tin coated. Safety Strap on 14C34-(SIZE) A is nylon.

5. MATERIALS AND FINISH FOR 14C02-(SIZE) C AND 14C34-(SIZE) C ARE AS FOLLOWS: Clamshell assembly is 300 series stainless steel passivated. Latch pawls, hinges, rivets, latch springs are 300 series stainless steel passivated. Bonding springs are beryllium copper wiretin coated. Safety Strap on 14C34-(SIZE) C is nylon.

6. MATERIALS AND FINISH FOR 14R02-(SIZE) A ARE AS FOLLOWS: 2024-T6 or equivalent aluminum anodized dichromate color.

7. MATERIALS AND FINISH FOR 14R02-(SIZE) C ARE AS FOLLOWS: 300 series stainless steel passivated.
